Youth camp and bungalows

There are two bungalows in the Youth camp that can accommodate up to 12 people. The first bungalow is bigger and offers four double rooms for a comfortable stay for up to eight guests. Each room contains a bathroom with a shower. The other bungalow is smaller and offers two double rooms for four people. Each room has a bathroom without a shower, but there are sanitary blocks with showers at the camp.

Youth Camp is located in National park Sutjeska in Tjentište, 27 kilometers from Foča, and about 200 meters from the hotel Mladost. The camp stretches along the bank of the crystal clear Sutjeska River, and the biggest outdoor swimming pool in the Balkans (16000 m 2 ) is in the immediate vicinity. There is a cafe bar Jezero above the swimming pool, which is available to all visitors. For 50 years, visitors have been camping in the youth camp, which is near the M20 highway. It is a well-organized space for more than 100 tents, and staying in caravans is also possible. There are two bungalows, a summer house and a barbecue shack, a fireplace, fire extinguishers, sanitary facilities with showers, and night lighting throughout the campsite.

Sarajevo is 93 km away, Dubrovnik 142 km, Banja Luka 370 km, and Belgrade is 380 km away.

House rules:

  • Check-in between 14.00 and 21.30
  • Checkout between 07.00 and 10.00
  • Cancelation / Prepayment – Cancelation 7-14 days before arrival, an advance payment is 30-50% of the total price
  • Guests are required to show a photo ID and a credit card upon check-in
  • Children and beds – Children of all ages are welcome.
  • Children aged 12 and older are considered adults at this property

The facility is managed by the Public Institution National Park Sutjeska.

On January 13, 1962, the National Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina passed the law declaring the area
of Sutjeska a national park. National Park Sutjeska has many types of accommodation from hotel units to
villas, pavilions, and bungalows to mountain houses. Sutjeska National Park rightfully bears the epithet
of a "jewel of the Republic of Srpska". The oldest and largest national park in the Republic of Srpska and
Bosnia and Herzegovina extends over 16,052.34 ha, and more than 66 percent is covered by forests,
while the rest consists of meadows, pastures, and barren lands. It was because of its values and
unspoiled nature that in 2000 this national park came into the II category of IUCN (UN Department for
Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources).

More than 100 tents can be set up at the campground, and it is also possible to camp in
caravans.
A summer house and a barbecue area, fireplaces, fire extinguishers, electricity, a sanitary area
with showers, and night lighting throughout the whole camp.

Camping rules and regulations

  • Camping rules are created to protect the interests of all guests (further in the text: campers)
    within the camp.
  • These rules regulate behavior guidelines campers have to follow when using the accommodation services at the camp and they regulate how the appliances and equipment are used within the camp.

ARRIVAL
1. Upon arrival at the camp, the camper has the obligation to check in at the reception of the hotel
Mladost. When checking in, the camper is obliged to hand over his identity documents.
2. The visitors are granted access to the camp exclusively by the reception staff of the hotel
Mladost.

USE OF THE CAMPGROUND

1. The place for setting up the camping equipment is determined by the reception staff of the
hotel Mladost depending on the space available inside the camp.
2. It is forbidden for the campers to change the camping area on their own without the permission
of the reception staff of the hotel Mladost.
3. It is forbidden to park vehicles inside the camp.
4. Before leaving the campground, campers are obliged to tidy and restore the areas where they have camped to their original state.

USE OF APPLIANCES AND EQUIPMENT

1. Campers can use both electrical and sanitary appliancies; they are obliged to use them properly
for their intended purpose.
2. The use of electrical appliances which are not standardized for use during camping is strictly
forbidden.
3. Washing the dishes and laundry is allowed only in designated areas.
4. Washbasins, sinks, showers, urinals, and toilets have to be used in a proper way according to the
purposes they are intended for, taking into account that these are sanitary appliances for the
common use of all campers.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR INJURIES IN THE CAMP

1. The campers are obliged to take care of their property and belongings in the camp.
2. The management of NPS does not take any responsibility for the missing or damaged belongings
of the campers, nor for any accidents or injuries in the camp that occur due to personal
negligence of the camper.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION WITHIN THE CAMP

1. For the disposal of solid waste the campers have the obligation to use the trash cans in front of
the camp entrance.
2. It is forbidden to leave and throw solid waste outside the designated place.
3. The campers have the obligation to maintain order and clean the area they are camping in.
4. The campers are obliged to take care of the greenery in the camp.
5. It is prohibited to tear branches or to damage and cut trees.

PUBLIC ORDER AND SAFETY IN THE CAMP

1. The campers are obliged to respect public order and safety in the camp.
2. The night peace at the camp lasts from 23:00 to 06:00. During that time, making noise and
visitors are forbidden in the camp.
3. The use of radio and TV sets, making sounds, and singing in a way that creates noise in the camp
are prohibited.

FIRE PROTECTION

1. The camp is equipped with fire-extinguishing appliances and devices to be used by all campers
in case of need.
2. It is forbidden to set an open fire and lighting a fireplace, except in the places approved for that.
3. It is forbidden to take easily flammable fuels, explosives and similar things into the camp.
4. In case of a fire in the camp or in the immediate vicinity, it campers’ duty to respond to the
organized firefighting.

ОТHER RULES

1. Within the camp or close surroundings, dogs must be kept on a leash and be under the
supervision of their owner.
2. Various damages, malfunction of installations and equipment, together with any rule violation,
the camper reports to the reception service of the hotel Mladost.

CONSEQUENCES OF NON-COMPLIANCE WITH CAMPING RULES

1. The camper is obliged to respect all house rules in the camp.
2. In case of a violation of the rules, the management of NPS may cancel the accommodation in
the camp for a camper who does not respect the house rules.
In case campers cancel accommodation, they are obliged to pay compensation for the damage
caused, in accordance with provision 2 of this article.
